Around 1:45 pm the US Marshal Service and Sioux City Police Department served a search warrant in the 700 block of Center St looking for an out of state fugitive who was wanted for murder.

The fugitive was believed to possibly be armed. Occupants of the house were briefly detained while officers searched for the suspect but did not locate him. Officers did locate another subject with an outstanding warrant. Kenneth L Thompson was taken into custody for Absence from Custody. The US Marshal Service is continuing their search for the wanted homicide suspect and are following up on all leads on his possible whereabouts. Due to this, the fugitives name is not being released at this time.
