Sioux City, IA On June 4, 2024 about 6:20pm, the Sioux City Police Department responded to a motorcycle accident at the intersection of 18th Street and Ingleside Avenue. The incident involved a 65-year-old man from Sioux City who was riding a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Ingleside Avenue.

According to preliminary investigations, the motorcyclist was approaching a curved section of the roadway when the accident occurred. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling at a high speed, making it difficult for the rider to navigate the curve. Consequently, the motorcycle veered off the roadway and collided with a parked vehicle in a driveway.

Emergency responders quickly transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite their efforts, and others on scene, the individual was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Sioux City Police Department has stated that the incident is still under investigation.
