About 6:30 am Police responded to a reported robbery on the 2600 block of 1st Street in Sioux City's Greenville neighborhood where a man was said to have been shot in the leg.
A release from Sioux City Police says the victim was in a vehicle with a person he knew when the person produced a gun and demanded money. The victim was shot during the incident and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
