Sioux City Police were attempting to make contact with a man who was airing up tires on a Red Chevrolet Cavalier with a plate partially matching a stolen vehicle.

Court Documents say Gregory Sewalson, 30 then fled on foot disobeying commands from the officer to stop. In the Officers process of deploying their taser, Sewalson took the taser and control of it from the Officer.

Gregory Michael Eugene Sewalson was arrested and charged with Disarming a Peace Office, Simple Eluding, Theft 5th, Absence From Custody and is currently being held at the Woodbury County Jail.
