Sioux City Fire Rescue responded to a call of smoke in residence about 20 minutes to five Wednesday afternoon at 1510 High View Terrace on Sioux City's Westside.
Assistant Fire Chief Robert Wilson says when crews arrived they did not observe any smoke until they made entry through the front door. He says they found some "small items" in the bathroom on fire and extinguished it quickly using water from the bathtub, there was "mostly smoke damage, not a lot of fire damage".
Crews cleared the home of smoke and the Fire Prevention Bureau is investigating.
