According to a release by the Woodbury County Sheriffs Department, a 22-year-old male was fatally injured when his motorcycle left the roadway while Southbound on Highway 31 and entered the ditch. A passer-by found the accident and notified authorities.

Woodbury County Sheriff's Department, Iowa State Patrol, Oto Ambulance and Woodbury County Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene. The accident remains under investigation the name of the victim has not been released at this time.
