Just before 1:00 am Friday, September 11, the Sioux City Police Department received a report of a stabbing in the 2100 block of Nebraska St.

Officers responding to the scene found a 37 year old male and 43 year old female, both suffering from multiple stab wounds. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. While the female is being treated for serious injuries, the male has succumbed to his injuries. During the course of the investigation a suspect was identified and located in the area at about 2:30 am. Detectives have charged Michael A. Landrum, 54, of Sioux City with 1st Degree Murder and Willful Injury. As this is an active investigation, no further information is being released at this time.
