Police and Emergency crews responded to the 400 Block of John Street in Sioux City about 4:43 a.m. Thursday after a female knocked on a door asking for help.

Scanner traffic indicated when police arrived they found a bloody female with stab wounds to the arm, stomach, and leg. Siouxland Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital and Sioux City Police began their investigation.

A little before 6:00 a.m. after finding blood and other evidence police made entry to a home on the corner of West Palmer and John Streets. Police had parts of the area blocked off until a little after 8:00 a.m. 

We are awaiting a release from Sioux City Police on details of the incident, at this time we don’t know the extend of injuries or suspect information.
