Police found 3 children ages 5, 5, and 6 home alone on the 1600 Block of West 15th just before 4:00AM on Wednesday Morning in Sioux City.


Court documents say a search warrant was obtained and during execution, police found the three children home alone, a 9mm handgun, 100 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, and packing material. The marijuana was in an unlocked and open room accessible by the children.

Matthew Lee Thomas, 31 was arrested and charged with 3 counts of child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance, felon in possession of a firearm, and no drug tax stamp. Thomas was released on $7,500 Bond.
