Police have identified the teen that died on Monday, October 31st in a fatal crash on Sioux City's West Side.
17-year-old Miguel Silvas-Sanchez of South Sioux City was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, that left the scene and was located has been identified as 18-year-old Eduardo Herrera of South Sioux City, Herrera was treated and released from the hospital, also treated and released was backseat passenger, 16-year-old Vicente Cancino of South Sioux City.
The accident is still under investigation and charges pending the outcome of the investigation.

A 17-year-old (age correction) was fatality injured in a car accident on the 1500 Block of West 2nd Monday Morning.
Sioux City Police, Fire and Siouxland Paramedics responded to an accident on the 1500 Block of West 2nd about 1:40AM Monday Morning. 1 person was fatality injured and another transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to a release from the Sioux City Police department, a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier was East Bound on West 2nd at a high rate of speed when it lost control after passing through the Ross Street intersection when it hit a parked 2008 Dodge Caravan. One person was ejected, believed to be the front seat passenger and suffered fatal injuries. A back seat passenger was transported to Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver left the scene on foot and has since been located.
No other information is being released as the accident remains under investigation.
