A Sioux City teen died Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Plymouth County at the intersection of K22 and C60. A crash report from Iowa State Patrol says that 5 people were injured in the crash, three of which were transported by ambulance.
The report says a 2017 Nissan Versa was Westbound on C60 and a 2005 Ford F150 was Northbound on K22. The F150 was passing an uninvolved stopped vehicle. The Nissan Versa failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by the F150. The crash caused both vehicles to roll and leave the roadway.
One unrestrained passenger, a 19-year-old male from Sioux City was ejected from the vehicle they were a passenger in. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead. All others in the crash were said to be wearing seatbelts.
