Fire Prevention week is October 9th-15th and Sioux City Fire Rescue is starting the week with an open house at all fire stations in the city from 1-4:00PM on Sunday, October 9th.
If you can’t make it to the event one of the most valuable reminders is to replace your smoke detector batteries every 6 months, and the detectors every 10 years, even if the test button still sounds the alarm.
