Fire at Whispering Creek Golf Course

According to a release from Sioux City Fire Rescue on Wednesday, crews were called to the 6500 Block of Whispering Creek Drive on Tuesday at 9:44PM for a structure fire at Whispering Creek Golf Corse. Smoke and Fire were visible upon arrival from a maintenance building that houses mowing equipment.

The fire quickly burned through the roof, firefighters worked to protect two nearby structures. The fire was contained to the original building, which sustained heavy fire damage and everything inside was lost.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
