For more than seven years, I had radio access that allowed Siouxland Scanner to keep our community informed in real time. That access was revoked almost six months ago — even though they admit I did nothing wrong. What was gained by taking it away? Less transparency, less accountability, and more secrecy. Some have said that “traditional media” still has access, so it shouldn’t matter. But I can tell you firsthand — they often miss or overlook what truly matters to the public. So I’ll ask again: what are you hiding, local law enforcement?
