Two taken to the hospital after west-side house fire

At 8:08pm the Sioux City Fire Department was called the 1600 block of W 15th St for a structure fire. When fire crews arrived they found flames coming from an upstairs window.

The caller also reported two occupants still inside the residence. Crews quickly contained the fire and rescued the occupants from the home. Two people were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Due to heavy fire and smoke damage the home is to be red tagged. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
