Police conclude incident of suspicious person at Leeds Elementary on Thursday did not occur

The conclusion of the investigation into the reports of a suspicious person near Leeds Elementary is that it did not occur, police say.

Sioux City Police confirm they received reports of suspicious activity about 3:45 pm on Thursday, November 15th in the 4100 Block of Van Buren Street in Sioux City.

Police say they arrived on scene and received information that a Black Male in a white van allegedly approached a young boy walking home from school and asked him to get into the van. The male driving the van left the area after making contact with the boy.

The incident remains under investigation and no other information is being released.
