Firefighters battle dangerous conditions responding to Fire

Road conditions Monday Morning were dangerous in the Siouxland Areas. With the Holiday and advanced warning, many stayed home and few weather-related accidents were reported.

Some professions never close, shut-down or have late starts. Sioux City Fire Rescue drive big heavy trucks, but they aren't are immune to ice. About 8:30AM on Monday Morning Firefighters responded to Wilson Street just off Military Rd and Highway 12 in Sioux City for reports of a fire.

Though slightly delayed due to road conditions crews reported no flames and were able to isolate the issue to the kitchen light are where it started.

No injuries were reported.
